He said: 'The haemorrhoids are real, a bit too real.'

Coleen admitted she got 'emotional as Jake sang his heart out about the disappointments in his life, and the personal heartache he suffered throughout as he revealed he went from touring with Ariana Grande, appearing on the Ellen show and playing Madison Square Gardens to living in his mum's garage and claiming universal credit.

Coleen told the Daily Record exclusively after the show: 'It's the first time I've seen it but I know he's been working so hard on it. I'm so proud, so proud but it's emotional to watch.

She laughed: 'I did know about the haemorrhoids. I used to run out and buy that cream.'

The Nolan sister singer, who revealed she was planning on seeing 'loads of shows' during her visit to Edinburgh, admitted Shane Richie, who she split from in 1999, might be surprised at some of the content in the show.

In response to Jake's revelation that the EastEnders star is intending to visit to watch it in coming weeks she replied: 'Oh god.'

Jake laughed: 'I might have to change the things he says.'

He also told the audience: 'Thankyou all so much for coming. If you've enjoyed yourself, I've been Jake Roche and if you haven't I've been Brooklyn Beckham.'

It comes just after Jake opened up to The Timesabout his public fall from grace, from scoring a number one hit and touring with mega star Ed Sheeran to 'losing it all' and having to move into his mother's garage.

Jake had bagged a record deal as the face of pop-rock band Rixton (L- R) Jake, Charley Bagnall, Lewi Morgan and Danny Wilkin atthe Pride of Britain awards in 2015

Jake had considerable success in showbusiness, having appeared on Emmerdale back in 2010, portraying the role of Isaac Nuttall (pictured)

The once-famous singer was forced to sign on for benefits and move back to his childhood home and admitted he felt like a failure.

Jake explained: 'It's your classic story of a teen pop star who gets it all and loses it all… [I had] an existential crisis at the end of my twenties…'

He continued: 'I'd never experienced failure in my whole life. Every audition I would go to I would get. It blew me to smithereens…'

Jake started his career by following in his father's footsteps - landing roles in Coronation Street and Emmerdale.

He later showed an interest in his mother's side of the industry and launched his music career.

Jake had the world at his feet in 2014 after landing a record deal and supporting the likes of Ariana Grande and Demi Lovato on their world tours.

But despite his hit single Me and My Broken Heart reaching number one in the charts, touring and even living with Ed Sheeran, his success was not to last.

He tried to convince his family it was a hiccup but the reality was that after six years of back to back bookings, interest in him had dried up.

'A lot of people go to a beach in Thailand and drop acid - I just happened to do it in Ed Sheeran's back garden… '

Jake has admitted feeling guilty about his position and not making a success out of his band especially considering his showbiz pedigree.

When a fan recognised him in a bar in 2022, he admitted that he was living on Universal credit in his mother's garage and said: 'I'm a failure'.

However, the fan reassured him that he wasn't a failure, telling him: 'Everyone goes through hardships in life and you will get through yours'.
