Fire department to receive funds for LUCAS CPR device The town of Algoma Fire Department along with the town of Algoma First Responders Unit will today present the Oshkosh Fire Department funding for a LUCAS CPR Device. The presentation will be made at 6 p.m. at Station 21 of the town of Algoma Fire Department, .2622 Omro Road. LaRose, age 85 of Oshkosh, died Monday, June 27, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born September 24, 1925, the son of Clarence and Harriet (Wonders) LaRose. On June 1, 1946 he married Patricia Borsche and this year they celebrated 65 years of marriage. Raymond served with the United States Navy during World War II in the European Theater. He was part of the Normandy invasion in 1944 and made 36 landings at Normandy earning two battlestars.

He was on an LST 539. During his working years, Raymond owned two taverns, the Pastime and Empire. Raymond also was a cab driver for Oshkosh Cab Company for many years. He was an avid Cubs fan, loved to play cribbage and travel, having been to every state except Alaska. Raymond's memory will be forever cherished by his loving wife, Patricia of Oshkosh; sons, Steve (Jackie) LaRose of Greenville, Michael (Judy) LaRose have worked together to raise the funds to purchase a LUCAS CPR Device for the Oshkosh Fire Department.

The funds were raised through the annual department's picnic along with pizza sales. A LUCAS CPR Device is the newest innovation in administering CPR. This device provides more consistent compressions, at a steadier rate, and for a longer time frame than was possible before. Raymond is further survived by his half-brothers, Eugene and Richard, as well as stepbrother, Wayne. He was preceded in death by his parents. She was born on September 21, 1945 in Lauf, Germany, a daughter of Hilary and Aniela (Janicki) Brzozowski. Christine married Arden G. Roehl on June 27, 1970 in Princeton. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Princeton.

She was formerly employed at Barnekow's Supper Club, Lantern's Supper Club, Mel's Supper Club, and Norton's as a waitress. Christine enjoyed reading, writing short stories and watching movies. She loved nature and bird watching. Christine is survived by her husband, Arden Roehl of Princeton; her son, Adam A. (Christine Roehl of Princeton; 2 grandchildren, Hannah M.

Joan was born on August 28, 1942, in Kenosha, WI, the daughter of Anthony and Ann (Swan) Schadd. She graduated from Mary Bradford High School in Kenosha and attended Saint Lukes Nursing School in Kenosha for one year and also attended Moraine Park Technical College for two years. In July of 1961, Joan married Kenneth Donald Kemnitz, Sr in Westfield, WI. Her occupation was working in nursing homes as a LPN. Joan was member and the church organist at Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon.

She was a loving mother and grandmother; she was strong, independent and hardworking. Joan enjoyed spending time with family, playing the organ in church and she spent many hours crocheting, knitting and sewing. Survivors include three sons, Ken (Shelly) Kemnitz, Jr. of Ripon and their children, Chelsey (Kyle) Miland, Cory and Lindsey Kemnitz, Tim (Lisa) Kemnitz of Richfield and their child, Caleb, and Jeff (Deb) Kemnitz of Madison; one brother, Robert (Sue) Schadd and their children, Marie (Corey) Webster and Beth Schadd; one sister, Helen Cunningham and her child, Erica (Josh) Penn; one sisterin-law, Ada (Bill) Jones; one brother-in-law, Brian (Lani) Kemnitz and many nieces and nephews. Joan was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother-in-law, Jack Cunningham.

Stahmann, Evelyn B. Stahmann, 84, of Route 1, Van Dyne, died peacefully, on Monday, June 27, 2011, at home. She was born on July 14, 1926, in the Town of Eldorado, a daughter of Edward and Esther Frederick Bloedow. Evelyn attended Maple Grove School. On February 11, 1942, she married Arnie A.

Stahmann, in North Fond du Lac. Evelyn was a member of St.Peter's Lutheran Church, Eldorado. Evelyn worked at Bell's Restaurant for 20 years, and also worked parttime at Miles Kimball from 1981-1997. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren playing cards. She also enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers.

She is survived by seven children: Shirley (Leland) Hoppe, (Lyle) Stratton, Kathy Piehl (special friend Walter), Donna Thompson, Dale (Debra) Stahmann, Kevin (Dolly) Stahmann, and Brian (Charleen) Stahmann; a son-in-law, August Kollmann; 16 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, stepgreat-grandchildren, stepgreat-great-grandchildren; after dusk. Jarvenpaa 58, of Houk Street, Ironwood, died Friday, June 24, 2011, in Ironwood. He was born Dec. 19, 1952, in Wakefield, son of the late Gust and Maxine (Williams) Jarvenpaa.

He attended Wakefield schools and Oshkosh, Wis. schools. Donald graduated from Oshkosh West High School with the class of 1971. He was employed at Duo Safety Ladder in Oshkosh, where he was president of the union. In Ironwood, he was employed by Ottawa Forest Products from 1992 until 2009, where he was a supervisor.

He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a life member of the North American Fishing Club and the North American Hunting Club. He was also a member of the Aurora Club in Ironwood. He also enjoyed ATVs, going to camp, cooking, camping, photography and especially spending time with his grand kids. He was a fan of the Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Red Wings. Donald also enjoyed traveling to Poy Sippi and Iola with family and close friends, like his nephew Darrin Jarvenpaa, and Don and Steve Schneider, of Oshkosh, who were like brothers to him.

On June 2, 1973, he was married to the former Pamela Calkins Catholic church in Oshkosh. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, Donald II (Dena) Jarvenpaa, and Jacob Jarvenpaa, both of Ironwood; two daughters, Nicole (Joe Westemeier) Jarvenpaa, of Mellen, and Danielle Jarvenpaa, of Ironwood; two grandsons, Donald Ill and David; three brothers, Arthur (Hannelore) Jarvenpaa, of Omro, Frank (Lynn) Jarvenpaa, of Green Lake, and Larry (Judy) Jarvenpaa, of Oshkosh; many nieces and nephews; and his companion dog, Charlie. Besides his parents, Donald was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel. Cremation has taken place at the Range Crematory in Hurley.

A memorial service will be held at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Ironwood Saturday, July 2, at 11 a.m. Rev. Jean B. Rencontre will officiate. Donald's family will receive relatives and friends from 10 a.m.

until the time of service at the church on Saturday. Inurnment will be in the Lakeside Cemetery in Wakefield.
