The deaths raised the 1973 state traffic toll to 697 compared with 739 at the same time last year. The dead: RICHARD C. NEARING, 53, of 123 N. Marion Ave.
JAMES EUGENE BELL, 53, of Cheyenne. WOODROW ROCK, 43, Warner. Nearing was injured when the car he was driving was struck by a dump truck driven by Jerry Lee Woodward, 25, Broken Arrow. Nearing was a sales representative for Lee Miller Homes here and was the former owner of the Nearing Construction Co. He was past president of the Home Builders Association of Greater Tulsa and a trainer for the Tulsa Ice Oilers during the late 1940's and early 1950's.
Grand Jury Notices Go To 60 at OC OKLAHOMA CITY (P) Notices went out to 60 Oklahoma County residents Thursday directing them to appear Dec. 3 for possible service on a grand jury called to investigate something the district attorney won't reveal. Dist. Atty. Curtis Harris declined again what matters he plans to save present to the grand jury.
But he denied he had received any records from Gov. David Hall as alleged by Dist. Atty. S. M.
Fallis of Tulsa. "That's a figment of his imagination when he says a representative of the governor has given me a bunch of evidence," Harris said. Under state law, the grand jury must finish its work and bring in its final report before the end of the current court term. Dee. 31.

Harris said that should the grand jury not return any indictments, it may still produce enough evidence to warrant filing criminal charges.
