Williams, a native of Cornelia, was a sharecropper and had made his home in Greenville since 1961. He was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church in Cornelia. Surviving are three daughters, Annie W.

Johnson and Eleanor W. Gibson, both of Greenville, and Roberta W. Davis of Atlanta, and a sister, Emma Crane of Augusta, Ga. His descendants include 41 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 38 great-great grandchildren, and one great-great-great-grandchild. Services: 1 p.m.

Army colonel, of 954 Custer died Wednesday in Columbia. He was a veteran of World War II and served with the 35th Division in France and Germany. He received the Purple Heart for wounds received during the Battle of the Bulge. After the war, he served as an industrial agent for Southern Railway in Charlotte, N.C. He joined the South Carolina Industrial Development Board in 1964 as an industrial representative and retired from the state of South Carolina in 1976.

He was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church where he was a Sunday School teacher and a former member of the Administrative Board. Surviving are his wife, Edna Rumfelt Skidmore of Columbia; a daughter, Mrs. Jerry Osborne of Piedmont; a son, Paul R. Skidmore of Wheaton, a sister, Mrs. Harold Stephenson of Scotts, and 1 three brothers, Lucius Skidmore of Battle Creek, Walter Skidmore of Climax, and Douglas Skidmore of Kalamazoo, Mich.

She was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection, a former president of the Greenwood Federation of Garden Clubs, and former chairman of the Greenwood Beautification Committee. M. Gerald Peebles Marvin Gerald Peebles, 43, of 326 Langston Drive, died Thursday. He was parts manager for Blanchard Machinery Company and was of the Church of God faith. Charleston. Mr. James B. (Jim) Pinson, 66, of 1865 Stonehedge former resident of Crosshill in Laurens County, died Friday in Charleston. He was a retired purchasing agent for Daniel Construction Co.

He was a son of the late James B. and Cora Griffin Pinson and a member and former Deacon of Liberty Springs Presbyterian Church. He was a 1938 Graduate of Clemson University, a Mason and Former member of the City Council of Crosshill. During World War II, he was a Captain in the Air Force, a V-17 Pilot with the Eighth Air Corps and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and Several French Medals. Surviving are one son, James B.

(Jamie) Pinson, III, of Charleston, and a daughter, Mrs. Steve (Carolyn) Baker of Charleston, four grandchildren, Laura Elizabeth Baker, Amanda Carolyn Baker, Elizabeth Ashley Pinson and James Robert Talmadge Pinson. And his mother-in-law, Mrs. Grace C. McGowan of Laurens.
